RICO’S JOURNAL – I have been off social media for a few days, part of my winding down of my addiction, especially Facebook where I swore to you I learned soooooo much.
I have learned so much from the ‘how to’ cooking videos. Here is an example of what I didn’t know before Facebook. I have completely stopped giving over money to the local supermarket for bought ice. Who knew I could make it at home and with one simple ingredient. Water.
How to make homemade ice! LOL.
But be warned, the video doesn’t show you how to actually freeze ice and for how long it should be frozen for before serving. You will have to do some experimenting with that.
Here’s a few things I had to learn on my own:
- Use only the top part of your refrigerator
- Test to see that the water is solid and firm and cold to the touch
- Don’t overfreeze, use a timer
- Consume the ice as quickly as possible, preferably with some alcohol
